Distubing report on Usk Horse Fair June

EMW Sanctuareeis have received a disturbing report regardng Usk Horse Fair held last Sunday (June 24th) Although not attending ourselves we have bene told that there were tiny puppies, still with eyes closed, being touted by young children. More than 70 puppies on sale despite the new Animal Welfare Act being in force.

It is not known if trading standards officers were present but we must assume not as it was reported that children were openly sellinganimals and poultry.If you were present at Usk Horse Fair please send us your views on thismethod of trading and your won experiences.

We will be contacting Monmouthshire council in due course asking why trading against the new law
is still being allowed to take place.
