BRECON AUCTION 13 OCTOBER 2007
and Horse Fair 14th October

Due to commitments EMW had a brief attendance at the 13th October auction.
it is unknown if other welfare organisations were present on the day. with over 200 pre-entered lots
for sale the market was very busy. It has been brought to our attention by letter, that a mare was sold through
the ring in what appeared to be a seriously compromised physical condition. Described as 'on it's last legs' we assume the
mare was elderly and severely emaciated. It is unknown where she went but the contact assumes she was sold to one of the
meat dealers. This mare was also noted by another person present'Sandra'. Both are concerned about vending an animal
in clearly poor condition. EMW did not see this mare so are unable to comment but
 have advised both concerned parties to contact the auctioneer direct.
