Jimmy had been a National Hunt chaser in his time with a few good results along the way. After losing stamina and getting older he began to be passed from home to home until the old horse had spiralled down from his past glory ending up in a bad way, abandoned in a field throughout the 2004/5 winter with no one checking him other than some people who became more and more concerned about his condition.
