Introducing Astrid
Astrid has been with us now for well over a year and is one of our 'family' along with
Maria, Martin, Sophia, Becky and, up until a few weeks ago, Vicky. Without the dedication
of our volunteer staff we would find the hard physical work a real battle. Our volunteers come
no matter what the weather and through high days and holidays. All know the resident horses
as well as I do and all love and care for them as though their very own. Astrid likes Dewi and
Luya very much and picked Dewi for her feature photo though he may have picked Astrid as he knows
she usually has a carrot or polo for him! Astrid missed Dewi when he left for his new loan home with jenny but was also pleased that he had now got a long term home of his own.
Locally based Volunteers are always welcome.  Please remember though that there is very
little riding available, it is all to with keeping the home of the resident horses clean and pleasant. The physical ability to work outdoors in all weathers is vital as is the ability to cope with a fully loaded wheeelbarrow.
